Preview Notes

ACT 1
Juror 3: Don't be afraid of finding the humor in situations. Be careful of playing to the ending and being too intense/focused at the start and not having anywhere to go. Ask yourself if you feel that he thinks there's a chance people won't unanimously vote guilty at the start.
Juror 12: Careful not to point at the Woolworth building and have your finger go through where the window is, as suggested by the window seat.
Juror 8: What do you feel when you ask for time to talk and Juror 10 assumes that means telling a joke and killing time? Make it even bolder than what you're doing now.
Juror 1: Articulate even more when confronting Juror 10 and asking if he wants to be the foreman. The ends of your words are being thrown away in particular.
Juror 2: "It's getting late..." I could not hear this.
Juror 8: Keep the list of possible killers more spontaneous sounding, more off the top of your head. They are starting to sound planned again.
ACT 2
Juror 1: Clarify/refind the pantomime of the windows closing. Be very specific.
Juror 7: Take a beat before you say "Not Guilty". Show us how hard it is to admit you have honestly changed your mind.
ALL: You need to check your scripts daily and even get together with other cast members to review your lines if needed, so that we can avoid problems like we had this performance. We had a lot of good covers, but we all know you can (and have) done better.
The fan was going when the light switch went on. Juror 1: please make sure it is off when you look at the fan.
ALL: Projection needs to be improved. I had more than one person come to me, saying they missed more than 50% of the lines. Noone is safe from this note- Know your lines and project them.

On Wednesday, you are called at 5:00.

Boys Line notes - 10/22

The line notes I got from Allison for you guys were too much to type up. It was a step down from before. The fact that I would have had more to type for your cast in the first ¾ of Act I than I did in the entire girl’s cast is an issue. This is not acceptable this late in the rehearsal process. I expect all of you to have read this and made efforts to mend this issue by rehearsal tonight.

Woman's Line Notes - 10/22

Getting there…
I forgot to tell you yesterday: If I give you a note that says you missed it, and you were actually cut of (or a similar situation), it is on you to tell that person they cut you off. I was able to tell when it was obvious, but some were harder to tell, so I erred on the side of caution.

CREW MEETING - REVISED

There will be a MANDATORY crew meeting on Wednesday, the 21st at FLEX after 2nd in the auditorium. Failure to attend without an approved excuse may result in your removal from the crew.

(10/13) - There is a late opening on that Wednesday. Meeting has been moved to lunch. We'll start 15 minutes in so you have time to go get food.

FOOD!!!

Hey cast/crew. So for those of you who don't know, we like to have 2 cast/crew meals for each show. One will be a brunch on the tech day (Sunday the 25th) at 11:00 and the other on our preview night (Wednesday the 28th) at 5:00. So, I need to know, does anyone have any dietary needs? Email me or comment.

Headshots/Bios

So, Colleen has only 15 headshot/bios. This is bad. If you do not remedy this by Monday night, you get a lame 2-4 sentence thing and no picture. Come on guy. You can do this.

New Format

So, there has been some confusion about how the blog is set up, so now there should be no more confusion. A few changes: The downloads are now at the top right. There is now a dotted line between each post, so you should be able to tell where each post begins and ends.

P.S. If you haven't, COMMENT on the previous post I told you to!!!!! (<---- click the hyperlink!)
