Good Bye

Hey all.

Congratulations to all of you on putting on such a great show. I can honestly say that it was one of, if not the best one I've done. You all rocked it. It was great working so closely with all of you. I like to think that I grow a lot during each show I SM, and I think that I came a long way during this run. I hope that some of you feel you have grown too. You were an amazing cast and it was a privilege to work with you all.

Love,
Connor

Christian Bale!

So one thing that has come up:

WATCH YOUR SIGHT LINES
When you are backstage or behind the front door, if you can see the audience, they can see you. Be careful.

Added Show

We are definately adding a Matinee show on Saturday. We are hoping that it will be the girls performing. We need to know NOW if there is anyone who CANNOT make that. It will be a 12:30 call. I am aware of Hunter's conflict, but I need to know about both girls and boys because if all else fails, we may end up doing a mixed cast.

Extra Matinee

So, we have had all three shows of our opening weekend sold out. We're coming close to having our closing weekend sold out already. Because of this, we are looking at adding a matinee next Saturday. If we have either cast with all of the actors willing to perform, then that cast will be doing a show next Saturday.

Preview Notes

ACT 1
Juror 3: Don't be afraid of finding the humor in situations. Be careful of playing to the ending and being too intense/focused at the start and not having anywhere to go. Ask yourself if you feel that he thinks there's a chance people won't unanimously vote guilty at the start.
Juror 12: Careful not to point at the Woolworth building and have your finger go through where the window is, as suggested by the window seat.
Juror 8: What do you feel when you ask for time to talk and Juror 10 assumes that means telling a joke and killing time? Make it even bolder than what you're doing now.
Juror 1: Articulate even more when confronting Juror 10 and asking if he wants to be the foreman. The ends of your words are being thrown away in particular.
Juror 2: "It's getting late..." I could not hear this.
Juror 8: Keep the list of possible killers more spontaneous sounding, more off the top of your head. They are starting to sound planned again.
ACT 2
Juror 1: Clarify/refind the pantomime of the windows closing. Be very specific.
Juror 7: Take a beat before you say "Not Guilty". Show us how hard it is to admit you have honestly changed your mind.
ALL: You need to check your scripts daily and even get together with other cast members to review your lines if needed, so that we can avoid problems like we had this performance. We had a lot of good covers, but we all know you can (and have) done better.
The fan was going when the light switch went on. Juror 1: please make sure it is off when you look at the fan.
ALL: Projection needs to be improved. I had more than one person come to me, saying they missed more than 50% of the lines. Noone is safe from this note- Know your lines and project them.
